THE APPLIED FABRIC WORKSHOP

Tension Tailor01 — Membrane commissions

Four clamps. One connected fabric. Bring the three stitched marks into their matching rings.

● Solid marks move with fabric◯ Rings are your targets
Choose a clamp, then a numbered peg. The whole fabric responds.

How the workshop works · source & credits

Move boundary clamps to shape the membrane. Match all three colored marks within 5 pixels of their rings and stay below the commission's stretch allowance. Check the fit to seal a commission. Undo and reset are unlimited. Pegs 1–9 run left to right, top to bottom.

Each edit computes a settled membrane using compliance-based particle constraints. Cloth is modeled in two dimensions, without self-collision or a physical weave; stretch is a game measurement, not engineering certification.
